iDo CABINETS WARRANTY
IDO Cabinet, Inc. Limited Lifetime Warranty
Limited Warranty
iDo Cabinet, Inc. warrants its products to the original consumer purchaser, for a period of two years from the original date of purchase, to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal residential use. This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original site of installation. During the warranty period, iDo Cabinet, Inc., at its sole discretion, will repair or replace any cabinet or component that proves to be defective in material and/or workmanship under normal installation, use, and service.
This warranty does not apply to cabinetry that has been subjected to modification, abuse, misuse, negligence, improper installation, improper storage, improper handling, or exposure to extreme temperatures or moisture levels. Additionally, this warranty does not cover the cost of installation, removal, subsequent damage, or transportation of defective products, regardless of whether the work was performed by a contractor, service company, or the purchaser.
This warranty is limited to the replacement of defective parts and does not include service, labor, or transportation charges related to the removal or installation of defective parts.
Wood and Color Characteristics
Natural woods may vary in texture, color, and grain pattern, and they may exhibit subtle changes as they age. For example, wood joints may develop visible cracking over time, and cabinet colors may darken or lighten with exposure to environmental factors. Sunlight, smoke, moisture, household cleaners, and other environmental conditions can cause wood and finishes to vary from their original color, warp, split, or crack.
These variations are considered natural characteristics of the material and are influenced by environmental exposure. As a result, the natural wood color may not match the original color over time. Such variations are inherent to the material and its interaction with its surroundings and are not covered under this warranty.
Natural, Stained, and Painted Finished
Natural, stained, and painted finishes showcase color contrast and the natural sculpting of wood grain. However, all painted finishes may develop visible cracking around joint areas over time. The grain and tonal diversity of natural and stained finishes help reduce the visibility of small surface cracks, scuff marks, scratches, and dents that naturally occur with daily use. In contrast, light opaque finishes, such as paint, tend to make slight surface cracking more noticeable.
When choosing between natural, stained, or painted finishes for your cabinetry, please consider this aesthetic element.
Note: This warranty does not apply to cabinetry ordered unfinished.
Doors and Panels
All doors less than 23 7/8" wide and 49 7/8" high are warranted if warp or twist exceeds 1/4". Doors over 23 7/8" wide and 49 7/8" high are not guaranteed against warping or twisting. This warranty applies to all door styles and appliance door panels.
In many cases, doors may return to their normal flat position after acclimating to their environment. Before requesting a replacement, please ensure that the issue is not due to an installation deficiency.
Hardware and Accessories
Hinges, drawer slides, and accessories are covered by a limited lifetime manufacturer warranty. This warranty guarantees repair or replacement to ensure satisfactory operation under normal use.
Cabinet Maintenance
Cabinets, like fine furniture, should be dusted or vacuumed periodically, depending on the amount of accumulated particulate matter. Always dust with a polish-moistened or damp cloth, as dry dusting may scratch the surface. For best results, follow the grain of the wood when dusting—wiping across the grain could cause scratches if the dust contains grit.
To remove oil, grease, or daily spills, use a clean cloth dampened with a solution of mild dish soap and water. Avoid using dishcloths, as they may contain remnants of other detergents that could harm the finish. Harsh cleaners, commercial cleaners, and abrasives should also be avoided, as they can damage and dull the finish.
Cabinetry around sinks and dishwashers is particularly susceptible to excessive moisture, which can cause wood veneer to peel if not promptly dried. To prevent damage, immediately dry any area where water has spilled to avoid seepage into the wood veneer. Additionally, avoid draping dish towels over doors or placing coffee makers where steam vents directly onto cabinet surfaces.
Additional Limitations and Disclaimers
iDo Cabinet, Inc. makes no warranties other than those explicitly stated herein, and all other warranties are hereby disclaimed. The implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose are limited in duration to the length of the limited warranty period.
